Emerging stories from the row between a 300 level student and a lecturer at the Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka are circulating in the internet. the stories from different accounts indicate a 300 level student in the popular Nnamdi Azikiwe University aka Unizik narrates how the student assaulted a lecturer for allegedly disrupting her TikTok video shooting moments.
In one of the video circulating on the internet, the student was seen making physical composure and adjustment to what appears to be mirroring her at the same time, the victim of the assault would also be seen in the same video tapping the student probably asking her to adjust so he can find a way to his whereabout.
This and many more similar accounts showed it was the singular trigger to the student assault of the lecturer. different social media users and commentators have though argued differently. while some have criticized the action of the student as ill mannered, others have berated the student for her overly reaction against the lecturer.
According to statement issued by the school management, a full scale investigation of the matter has begun and the school has promised to act in accordance to the standards of ethics it has upheld since foundation. some part of the statement reads “In line with our core values of discipline, self-reliance, and excellence, and in adherence to the principles of fair hearing, equity, and justice, the Acting Vice-Chancellor, Joseph I. Ikechebelu, has ordered a full-scale, transparent, and unbiased investigation into the matter,”
